Nike: Baju Yang Terbuat Dari Botol Plastik Bekas
Nike meluncurkan baju yang akan dikenakan oleh para pemain dan penggemar dari delapan tim nasional itu sponsor pada acara global media di Battersea Power Station di London pada Kamis malam.
Untuk membuat tim nasional 2010 kit, pemasok kain Nike botol plastik bekas yang bersumber dari Jepang dan Taiwan dan kemudian mereka melelehkannya untuk menghasilkan benang yang baru akhirnya beralih ke kain untuk kaus.
Proses ini menghemat bahan baku dan mengurangi konsumsi energi sampai 30 persen dibandingkan dengan manufacturing virgin polyester.
Dengan menggunakan daur ulang polyester untuk rentang baru kaus nasional, Nike mencegah hampir 13 juta botol plastik, senilai hampir 254.000 kg limbah poliester, dan dibawa pergi ke Taiwan.
Mengingat lingkungan tidak berarti mengorbankan unsur-unsur kinerja inovatif Nike kit.
Untuk finalnya musim panas ini, kit telah dirancang untuk para pemain agar tetap kering, sejuk dan lebih nyaman, agar memungkinkan mereka untuk mempertahankan suhu tubuh yang optimal dan melakukan yang terbaik mereka di lapangan.
Tim baru memakai Nike kit hi-tech di Afrika Selatan adalah Brasil, Belanda, Portugal, Amerika Serikat, Korea Selatan, Australia, Selandia Baru, Serbia, dan Slovenia.

Park are the "lungs of the city," architect Frederic Law Olmsted famously said about New York's Central Park. From the 500-year-old Giardino della Guastella in Milan to downtown Houston's new Discovery Green, parks provide both a place for harried city residents to take a deep breath, relax, and connect with nature, and a cooling counter to the heat-island effect created by all that asphalt. To save planet earth, car manufacturers have decided to go for eco friendly ways by designing hybrid cars. Due to continuous global warming, the importance of these cars have increased. Continuous use of these cars will not affect the planet as well as human beings as other cars do. Discussed below are 5 such cars which aim for greener planet, and thus a better future.

Mercedes is a brand which is known for its luxury. This car has been designed for the year 2030. It is an electric car. It will have extremely stretched body and will produce very low greenhouse effect. It will have wheel hub electric engine.
2 Oxyi Hybrid Vehicle
Sachin Panchal has designed an innovative car, which will not emit harmful gases, instead it will emit oxygen. This hybrid car is called Oxyi. This car has been designed to reduce the level of pollution in the air by releasing oxygen. It will follow the theory of photosynthesis and solar energy. It will absorb the carbon dioxide from air and will clean the air. It will also trap the carbon monoxide. It will be an electric car and will have powerful features.
3 Aston Martin E-teuer
Aston Martin E-teuer is a future version of Aston Martin racers with a green heart. It will be a future sports car. It will be based on Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems. Under this system, the batteries of the car gets charged with every brake applied. It will have an EV engine, which will deliver 400kw power. It will have a peak speed of 300 kph. It will be an eco friendly vehicle which will help to save the environment in near future.
4 BMW i3 Megacity
BMW i3 Megacity is the first electric car of BMW. The new LifeDrive architecture concept has been used in this car. This has been divided into two parts. One is 'Life' module which is a compartment for the passengers, while the other is 'Drive' module which integrates the powertrain. These two modules are arranged on the top of other module. The electric motor delivers an output of 125 kW/170 hp.
5 Cadillac ELR Prototype
Cadillac ELR Prototype is a luxury electric car. It will have a four-cylinder engine, an electric propulsion system, an electric drive unit and a lithium ion battery. Primary source of power will be electricity, and when the battery of the car will get discharged, it will switch to an extended-range mode. It is a perfect combination of a luxury car with an electric propulsion with stunning design.

However, what is energy conservation?

Pesawat Terbang Personal Dengan Motor Listrik
Pesawat terbang personal berikut ini merupakan pesawat terbang ditenagai oleh motor listrik. Biasanya, pesawat terbang personal yang sudah ada selama ini memakasi mesin roket, jet, atau kombinasi baling-baling dengan roket. Pesawat dengan penggerak motor listrik diklaim lebih hemat biaya penerbangan dengan tingkat kebisingan yang rendah. Namun bagaimana performanya?
Tidak begitu buruk. Pesawat terbang personal ini mampu terbang dengan kecepatan 240 km/jam hingga 320 km/jam, dengan jangkauan jarak 80 km. Wah, lumayan juga, bisa bolak-balik Jarkata-Bandung, dan Bandung-Jakarta. Ketinggian terbang pesawat terbang ini adalah 9 km, dengan tenaga listrik dari baterai fosfat litium yang bisa diisi ulang.
Menurut para perancangnya, kepadatan energi di dalam baterai bisa ditingkatkan tiga kali dalam 5 tahun mendatang, sehingga jarak tempuhnya bisa mencapai sekitar 240 km.
Kelebihan lain dari pesawat terbang ini adalah tidak membutuhkan landas pacu, karena bisa lepas landas dan mendarat secara vertikal. Dan bisa juga mendarat dan lepas landas di helipad pada gedung-gedung bertingkat, mengingat beratnya hanya 180 kg (tanpa pilot). Sebagai perbandingan, berat rata-rata mobil adalah 1400 hingga 1800 kg. Begitu ringan, karena sebagian besar materi yang digunakan adalah komposit serat karbon.
Menara Observasi, Rumah Energi di Dubai
Satu lagi bangunan yang akan menambah jajaran pencakar langit di Dubai, UAE, sebuah tower observasi spiral yang diperkenalkan oleh XTEN Architecture. Tower ZPO, pada strukturnya terdapat fasad kisi-kisi yang cantik yang terinspirasi dari motif tradisional, lalu lahan untuk panel-panel surya, pemanas dan pendingin geothermal, atap yang hijau, dan sistem daur ulang air kotor. Tower ini didesain hampir seluruhnya dibangun dari material-material yang bisa didaur ulang pada netzero energy. Tower ini juga mampu menciptakan energi dari sinar matahari sebagai sumber tenaganya sendiri.
Menurut XTEN Architecture, desain anyaman pada tower ini terinspirasi dari pola-pola tradisional Islami. Pada puncak tower terbagi menjadi tiga bentangan seperti "daun bunga" yang menjorok ke depan merefleksikan sejarah dan masa depan Dubai. Bentangan yang pertama mengarah ke Mekkah (kiblat umat muslim).
Bergerak searah jarum jam, "daun bunga" kedua mengarah ke kota tua Deira, sebuah wilayah dimana terdapat pasar-pasar tradisional, mesjid-mesjid, benteng-benteng, dan menara-menara angin.
Meski bangunan fenomenal ini memiliki konsep ramah energi, jika melihat kondisi merosotnya kunjungan turis dunia dan minimnya pasokan besi dan sumber daya lainnya, tetap saja agak sedikit berlebihan dilihat dari fungsinya sebagai menara observasi.

6) When using the fireplace, turn down the furnace to 55 degrees. If you don't, all the warm air from the furnace will go right up the chimney, wasting energy and money.
7) Save on energy costs by comparing electricity rates from different power providers in your state.
8) Keep plantings at least one foot away from your central air conditioning unit for adequate airflow.
9) During late afternoon and early evening, turn off unnecessary lights and wait to use heat-producing appliances.
10) Shade south- and west- facing windows during the hottest part of the day in the summer.
